Yesterday, we had a lot of fun in central London drinking Fencha with our friend Erin. We went to a great Japanese restaurant and had a round of Fencha shots along with some delicious food.
We drank Fencha in three different ways:
- As a cold shot
- As a traditional hot cuppa with a lump of sugar
- As an energy booster in orange juice
Erin loved them all, but she is a traditionalist when it come to drinking old-style tea :).
The restaurant team tried Fencha as well and loved the cold shots – so much so that we were asked to leave a sample. Later on, we ran into a prominent chef who tasted Fencha and loved it too. We had a great day!
The cold shots, shaken, not stirred, were an overall hit. The hot cup of tea made an impression too. Our little Fencha is a great coffee substitute – it even looks like coffee when drunk hot. Perhaps we should call it Fenchino? We love to experiment!
